      I thought this part was pretty funny:

      The FBI added that QR codes “are not malicious in nature.”

      On a more serious note I don’t think their advice to look at the URL to guess its legit-ness is particularly useful. Most restaurant QR codes I come across don’t point directly to the restaurant’s own domain, but instead to some third party redirector/link-shortener service with a name like qrco.de, which looks a little suspect.
